Former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis once said that he could tell what quarterback Tom Brady is seeing by watching his eyes while he goes through his progressions.

He would know what Brady was looking at, however, not exactly the way technology can bring in the case of Sports Video Innovations' new product SchuttVision designed for that exact purpose.

SVI has launched a very interesting tool for coaches to add extra information to their ever-increasing player evaluation process.

The 720p HD video camera positioned on the front of the face mask shoots 30 frames per second, has 2.5 hours of battery life, and a SD Card storage that streams video and opens up a world in visual dynamics that has NFL teams interested in the untapped potential.

Video compatible with any video editing software makes it an easy plug and play for coaches, and the company has a roster of four NFL clubs (the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers) and 10 college teams ( the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Clemson Tigers, Texas Longhorns, Texas Tech Red Raiders and the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks) who are currently utilizing SVI's SchuttVision in practices.

Developed by SVI co-founder and CEO J.R. Liverman, the lifelong football fan dreamt of the concept and brought it to life with his partner Jeremey Jeansonne.

Collaborating with Schutt Sports, the world's leading manufacturer of football helmets, shoulder pads, and faceguards, the two companies set forth in designing Liverman's concept.

The passion drove the process of developing a bird’s eye view that is unchallenged in today’s technical arena, and likely changes the landscape of personnel evaluations.

Imagine being able to see a quarterback go through his progressions, a running back hitting the hole into the open field or a cornerback turning his head too early or late, that's the type of thrust SchuttVision gives to coaches.

Field tested through Division III colleges and high schools and currently used in the AFL, Sports Video Innovations launched in January of 2014 and is expected to be used by every NFL team by 2015.

Must See TV

Sports Video Innovations product's bandwidth reaches into the entertainment sector as SchuttVision gives networks the ability to take their coverage to the next level, on the field real time, putting the viewer in the middle of all the action.

"We believe this is something that networks want in their broadcasts," Liverman said.

"The expectation is SchuttVision will be used in broadcasts on every level of football within the next couple of years."

Helping young athletes to market themselves

Liverman also believes the technology can help young athletes become their own marketing team in making recruiting videos in the expanding market. The competition to get noticed by colleges is increasing, and being able to highlight the players skills with the product will add more value to the entire process.

Overall, it's an exciting new way for coaches to evaluate their players and makes for an even more exciting experience for football fans.
